Job summary

Highland Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing. The role supports the Director of Nursing, overseeing clinical operations and staff development in a 188-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility.

The position requires an RN license in MA, 3+ years of nursing leadership and experience in rehabilitative care. It includes a Monday–Friday days schedule with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid, unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts; nursing degree preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or long-term care setting.
Supervisory experience with leadership and staff development required.
Experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills with professional interaction with staff, residents, families, and regulators.
Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws governing nursing facilities.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Nursing in planning nursing operations and coordinating priorities.
Serve as care champion for the dialysis den and ensure high clinical standards.
Monitor nursing units, evaluate performance, and coach staff as needed.
Develop professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and the medical team.
Conduct rounds to monitor care delivery, environment, and staff morale.
Oversee administrative functions related to Nursing Services for compliant operations.
