Qualificações

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related health care facility.
• Minimum 6 months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work well in a team.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and related regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing day-to-day nursing department functions.
• Develop and update written policies and procedures for the nursing department.
• Ensure reference materials at the nurse’s station are current.
• Develop nursing service objectives and philosophy statements.
• Assist in developing nursing organization structure and staffing plans.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensure nursing staff follow job descriptions; update them as required by laws and regulations.
• Participate in facility surveys and accreditation activities as requested.
• Assist in discharge planning and resident transitions.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules for accuracy.
• Provide direct nursing care when needed and report issues to the Director.
• Participate in in-service training and mandatory orientations.
• Assist in safety standards development and infection control practices.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident information and compliance with HIPAA.
