Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a strategic Director of Nursing (RN) to oversee multiple patient care departments and lead high-performing clinical teams focused on exceptional patient outcomes.

As a key nursing leader, you will drive operational excellence, patient safety, quality improvement, employee engagement, physician collaboration, and financial stewardship while advancing Mercy's mission of delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• BSN required; active RN license.
• Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or commitment to obtain.
• 2+ years of Nurse Manager experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proven experience in nursing operations, quality improvement, staff development, and budget management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple nursing and patient care departments.
• Foster a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
• Lead evidence-based nursing practice and shared governance initiatives.
• Support workforce planning, staffing, retention, and employee engagement.
• Mentor and develop nurse managers and clinical leaders.

• Manage departmental operating and capital budgets.
