Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks an experienced nursing leader to oversee the plan of care for patients on the assigned unit(s) and to drive patient/family centered care. You will direct care through leadership of the nursing team and collaborate with care management staff to optimize resources and outcomes.

In this role you will promote staff development, participate in orientation and ongoing education, and ensure quality, safety, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing completed.
• Current State of Michigan RN license.
• 1 year Acute care nursing experience within the past year and prior charge nurse experience.
• BLS certification required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond.

Responsibilities

• Maintains operational responsibility for assigned unit with clinical manager.
• Promotes collaboration on patient care issues across staff levels.
• Ensures staff participation in orientation and ongoing education.
• Demonstrates leadership through clinical practice, supervision, and teaching.
• Monitors quality of care and develops action plans as needed.
• Supports interdisciplinary approach to patient care and delegation.
