Job summary

UPMC Williamsport invites new graduates to join the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program, a four‑month immersive experience across 5 East, 7 East, and 6 West units. You will work with mentors to build clinical confidence and determine your optimal unit for permanent placement.

Participants gain hands‑on patient care responsibilities, develop critical thinking, and learn in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment. Eligibility includes state licensure readiness and BSN (preferred).

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Completion of UPMC Student Nurse Internship Program or student clinical transitions course at UPMC preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care for the age groups served by the unit as specified.
• Understand growth and development principles and apply them to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly competent patient care with empathy and a willingness to learn.
• Establish relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients, and families to achieve patient outcomes.
• Work collaboratively within the care delivery team and participate in the nursing round and handoffs.
