Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, FL is seeking an RN Nurse Manager in the Operating Room to lead daily operations, ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, and optimize staffing and workflow in a fast-paced surgical unit.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, a nursing degree from an accredited school, BLS, and 3+ years of OR experience with at least 1 year in nursing management. You will mentor staff, uphold clinical outcomes, and partner with leadership to advance care.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Compact Licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse.
• Associate Degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily function and staffing of the Operating Room to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care in accordance with policies/procedures and hold staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes.
• Lead staffing coordination and collaborate with leadership to optimize OR operations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)




• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing




• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date




• (RN) Registered Nurse




• Associate Degree




• Minimum 3 years of clinical Operating Room or Circulating nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting




• Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/ Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care Hospital setting
