Embassy Healthcare in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead the nursing team in a long-term care setting. You will direct day-to-day nursing operations, ensure policy compliance, and supervise nurses and nursing assistants.

The role requires charting, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and other professionals to maintain high-quality resident care. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this position emphasizes QA activities and coordination during surveys.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nurses and nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and reflects day-to-day procedures.
• Prepare the unit for facility surveys and participate in weekly care conferences conducted by the physiatrist.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to maintain the resident’s total regimen of care.
• Develop leadership and perform routine rounds to ensure nursing standards are met.
