Job summary

Mountain Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Black Mountain, NC is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing care on their shift, ensure accurate medication administration, and supervise staff according to policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a current RN license, a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and has at least one year of long-term care experience. The role emphasizes resident rights, infection control and compassionate care for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State RN license is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• One year experience as a nurse in a long-term care setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents in an environment that promotes rights, dignity and freedom of choice.
• Supervises CNAs and subordinate staff to ensure assignments are completed.
• Oversees direct care of residents and nursing staff on shift.
• Participates in shift reports and ensures accurate documentation in medical records.
• Maintains infection control and safety practices during care provision.
• Keeps physicians and families informed of changes in residents' condition.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans and participating in meetings.
