Job summary

St Anthony's Healthcare, part of Genesis Healthcare, seeks a RN Staff Development Coordinator to orient and educate nursing personnel in the center and ensure safe, evidence-based patient care.

The role reports to the Director of Nursing, develops education programs, supervises orientation, and conducts annual competency testing to continuously improve staff performance and patient outcomes within the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
• Experience in Gerontology preferred.
• Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient and educate all nursing personnel in the nursing center to ensure safe, effective care per guidelines.
• Report to the Director of Nursing and develop education programs in response to staff needs.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation period.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluate nursing staff performance.
• Provide oversight to Employee Health Program including TB and hepatitis vaccines and influenza immunizations.
