Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner to lead education and competency initiatives on a full-time basis in Orlando, FL. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and student and staff development within a dynamic clinical environment.

You will design and deliver continuing education, coordinate onboarding, and mentor new graduates and experienced nurses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; RN license expected.
Master's degree preferred for advancement and education responsibilities.
Proven ability to lead, teach, and develop training programs.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource for clinical inquiry, supporting research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
Coordinate orientation and onboarding using ANPD standards and NPDP model; adapt to learner needs.
Develop education plans for new graduates and staff, including competency validation and coaching.
Collect data to evaluate competency activities and facilitate interprofessional education.
Design engaging, state-of-the-art educational activities rooted in adult learning principles.
Support preceptor programs and partner with academic institutions for student experiences.
Promote a collaborative environment and cross-disciplinary teamwork.
