Job summary

Southeastern Community College seeks Nurse Aide Instructors and Skills Evaluators to teach NATCEP-aligned coursework and administer the CNA program. Instructors will deliver 3.5 credit hours with 36 hours classroom, 20 hours lab, and 32 hours clinical training in a long-term care facility.

Ideal candidates hold an Iowa RN license, an Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and 2+ years of RN experience including LTC; CPR and Mandatory Reporter Certification are required.

Qualifications

• .RN with a minimum of two years of nursing experience, at least one year in long-term care facilities.
• An active State of Iowa RN license.
• Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience, 1+ year in long-term care.
• Must complete State of Iowa Train the Trainer program for the 75 HR CNA Program.
• CPR and Mandatory Reporter Certification.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct in accordance with NATCEP.
• Administer the program and provide instruction for nurse aides.
• Prepare class schedules, maintain attendance records and grades.
• Evaluate candidates for the State of Iowa Nurse Aide Skills Competency Exam.
