Job summary

The Vivo Healthcare Meadows in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for our patients and support their speedy recovery. The RN educates patients and families on prevention and healthy habits and works with a dedicated team to provide high-quality nursing care with supervision as needed. Shifts are 12-hour options including day, evening, and night.

Responsibilities

Monitor patient health and assess needs to provide the best possible care and advice
Observe and interpret patient symptoms and communicate them to physicians
Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans
Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, injections, etc.) and fill in patient charts
Adjust and administer medications per physician's orders
Maintain hygiene and safety in facilities (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds)
Provide instant medical care in emergencies
Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
Foster a supportive, compassionate environment for patients and families
Attend educational workshops and conferences to expand knowledge and capabilities
