Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active license (RN) and BLS CPR certification.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1+ year in acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and interventions in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust interventions to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Engage in performance improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
• Respond to code situations promptly with appropriate interventions.
