Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, CO is seeking a nurse leader for the night shift to supervise unit operations and coordinate patient care. You will ensure appropriate staff mix, admissions, and safe nursing practice while directing shift activities and serving as a role model for the team.

The role requires RN licensure and BLS, with a focus on patient experience, collaboration with physicians, and ongoing professional development within a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ clinical RN experience.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Willingness to learn advances in technology used in the organization and unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Directs, organizes, and prioritizes shift activities to ensure patient care and staff needs are met.
• Monitors admissions/cases and staff skill mix for safe patient care.
• Participates in interviewing and selection of new staff; provides feedback on performance.
• Conducts audits of documentation, patient charges, and outcomes.
• Acts as liaison to multidisciplinary care team and manages cost controls at unit level.
• Delegates tasks per State Board and hospital policy; models ethical nursing practice.
• Supports continuing education to maintain skills and competence.
• Pursues opportunities to improve patient experience and nursing practice.
