The role serves as the administrative point of contact during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, coordinating patient flow and staffing.

The nurse leader will supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and respond to emergencies while maintaining effective communication across departments.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
• 1-2 years of related experience in the profession.
• 1-2 years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees hospital operations during assigned shifts, ensuring staffing aligns to patient care needs.
• Monitors census, coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers for bed utilization.
• Acts as administrative contact for staff, patients, and families during non-business hours.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates resources to maintain safety and quality care.
• Serves as incident commander in disasters until relieved by a senior leader.
