MercyOne Genesis Davenport East campus, part‑time, seeks a Patient Logistics RN or EMT or Paramedic to coordinate complex patient transfers. The role serves as a clinical coordinator, ensuring safe, timely transitions and regulatory compliance across facilities.

The RN/EMT/paramedic will evaluate patient acuity, determine appropriate care pathways, and communicate with referring hospitals and transport teams, including overnight shifts. Night availability is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current RN license in Iowa or eligible for licensure.
• Strong clinical judgment and transfer coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers between healthcare facilities to ensure safe transitions.
• Perform rapid clinical assessments to determine acuity and care level.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and transport teams to exchange information.
• Monitor bed availability and collaborate with bed management for throughput.
• Ensure EMTALA compliance in transfer processes.
