MercyOne Genesis Davenport East campus is seeking a Part-time Patient Logistics RN or EMT or Paramedic to coordinate complex patient transitions and facilitate inter-facility transfers.

The role requires rapid clinical assessment, clear communication with referring hospitals, and collaboration with transport teams to ensure safe, timely placement of patients.

Onsite in Davenport, with PRN nights, you will work within EMTALA and regulatory standards to support patient flow and continuum of care.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license or compact RN license; IL license must be obtained within 12 months.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Critical care, emergency, or medical-surgical experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Mansioni

• Coordinate patient transfers to ensure timely, safe transitions of care.
• Perform rapid clinical assessments to determine patient acuity and level of care.
• Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, transport teams, and receiving facilities.
• Document transfer-related information in electronic health records and transfer management systems.
• Coordinate transportation arrangements, including ground and air medical transport.
• Monitor bed availability and work with bed management to optimize placement and throughput.
• Serve as a clinical resource on transfer processes and appropriateness.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Onboard and mentor new staff.
