Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process across day and night shifts. The role requires leadership of care teams and collaboration with a multidisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will uphold safety, privacy and cultural sensitivity while contributing to ongoing professional development and adherence to standards of care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.
• Current license as a registered nurse in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Deliver patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and professional environment and participate in the professional practice model.
