The role emphasizes leadership, partnership, teaching and supervision, with direct reporting to senior unit management and a focus on discharge preparation. Michigan RN license and AHA BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establish collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegate, assess, provide and evaluate patient care.
• Provide and delegate patient care activities to team members.
• Monitor patient progress and prepare patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities.
