Job summary

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) RN position is based at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, MI, overseeing nursing care within the Patient Care Services Team. You will lead, collaborate with physicians and staff, delegate tasks, and monitor patient progress toward discharge.

Required: nursing degree with Michigan RN licensure and AHA BLS. BSN preferred. Full-time, night shift with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan required.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities

Education

Graduation from a school of nursing required.

BSN preferred.

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan required.

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
