Job summary

The DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Patient Care Services Team as a night-shift nurse. You will oversee nursing care for a group of patients, collaborate with physicians and staff, and supervise care activities to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include delegation, evaluation of patient care, discharge preparation, and active participation in shared decision-making with unit leadership. Michigan RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing is required.
• BSN preferred for this RN role.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan is required.
• AHA BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities.
