Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is hiring a Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro, full-time nights 7:00pm – 7:30am (3-12 hour shifts). The role delivers safe patient care using the nursing process and requires active RN licensure.

Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available. A BSN is preferred and ACLS is required within 30 days of hire; BLS is required on hire. Minimum one year acute/hospital nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician and monitor hemodynamics.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
