Job summary
AdventHealth in Florida seeks an experienced RN to lead venous access and infusion therapy within the RN scope, delivering safe, high-quality patient care in a busy acute setting. You will assess patients, develop care plans, educate patients, monitor staff performance, mentor new hires, and drive quality improvement while complying with regulatory and hospital policies.
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and excellent communication are essential; BSN preferred; 1+ year charge nurse or unit
Qualifications
- RN with current license in good standing
- Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred
- 1+ charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
- Experience in acute care setting preferred
- Ability to lead unit staff and drive quality improvement
Responsibilities
- Perform venous access procedures within RN scope
- Administer and monitor infusion therapy
- Assess patient conditions and determine venous access methods
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients on venous access and infusion therapy
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback
- Mentor staff and organize training
- Resolve staff conflicts to maintain team cohesion
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and analyze data
- Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare team
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies
