Lake Region Healthcare is seeking a registered nurse at Elbow Lake Medical Center in Elbow Lake, MN for a 72-hour biweekly schedule. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, supervise LPNs and nursing staff, and coordinate patient care with physicians and families.

Requirements include MN RN licensure and BLS, with ACLS/TNCC/CALS training within the first year. Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork are essential, with emphasis on safety and quality care.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with MN RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Pre-employment health screening required.
• Must be able to attend site per schedule.
• Adequate computer/keyboard skills.

Aufgaben

• Provides comprehensive patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation.
• Performs ongoing patient assessments and collaborates with physicians to adjust care as needed.
• Develops individualized care plans and coordinates interdisciplinary care for effective discharge planning and family education.
• Carries out a wide range of clinical nursing procedures including monitoring body systems, administering treatments, infection control, wound and catheter care, respiratory support and emergency response.
• Maintains accurate documentation and applies critical thinking, nursing judgment and patient safety.
• Serves as a resource and mentor for staff and students and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
