Qualifications

• Requires active nursing license in Tennessee
• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Demonstrates leadership, supervision and clinical oversight

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the nursing activities on the assigned shift in line with hospital philosophy and objectives.
• Serves as a management/administrative liaison to hospital departments per policies.
• Promotes information flow using effective communication systems within the hospital.
• Solves problems and troubleshoots issues affecting hospital operations or patient care.
• Participates in quality monitoring and ensures regulatory readiness.
• Assesses nursing practice and makes leadership recommendations.
• Provides guidance to nursing staff during emergencies or staffing shortages.
• Oversees staff placement, rounds on units, and coordinates throughput with patient census.
