Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital's Labor and Delivery unit, part of Trinity Health Of New England, cares for obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum stages in a 14-bed labor/delivery and 2 Cesarean section rooms with a 4-bed triage bay.

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care, coordinating throughout antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. This role requires RN licensure in CT and BLS certification, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN graduate preferred.
• Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
• Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred Experience: Acute Care, Maternity or Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to obstetric patients following established standards.
• Coordinate care for antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases for mother and infant.
