Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for night shifts in Downers Grove, IL. The role involves 7P–7A, four 12-hour shifts in a six-week cycle, with two weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN, an active RN license, and BLS certification, with 1 year of clinical nursing experience. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and documentation in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice where RN provides services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation; may float to other units as needed.
