Job summary

Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a full-time night shift. You will provide professional nursing care on an assigned unit, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include completing nursing history, coordinating education, and implementing the care plan while supervising care team and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Tennessee RN license and CPR required.
• New graduate, within first year of orientation (move to level II after one year of experience).

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
• Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and evaluates care outcomes.
• Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments with supervision.
• Introduces new employees/students to unit routines.
• Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills and delivery of age-appropriate care.
• Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs and sitters.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards; participates in quality improvement initiatives.
