Job summary

River Oaks Hospital, affiliated with Universal Health Services, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse (RN) for the night shift in New Orleans. This role focuses on providing exceptional mental health care and crisis intervention for patients.

The ideal candidate will have a valid RN license, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work overnight hours. This is a temporary 8-week position with a requirement to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience working in psychiatric or behavioral health settings.
• Strong knowledge of mental health assessment tools and crisis intervention strategies.
• Experience as an ER nurse is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to diverse mental health needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs and risk assessments.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor for adverse reactions.
