BSN degree preferred.* Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in similar position preferred. (**New graduate RNs will not be considered for this position, must have prior NICU experience)*** RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever occurs first.* NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.* STABLE must be obtained within 1 year of hire/transfer.* Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.* Understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including but not limited to, HIPAA guidelines.* Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and instruments used in a medical office; simple routine clinical laboratory methods, universal blood and body fluid precautions.* Must have knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, established protocol for storing poisons, narcotics, acids, caustics, and flammable items; restriction imposed by various manage care carriers, various forms inherent to profession.* Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
