Neonatal Intensive Care
Patient Population: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for infants 22 weeks gestation and up
Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity
Number of Beds: 13
Department Specifics: Level III Designated NICU, Greater than 95% BSN, 34% Specialty Certified, 200+ admissions annually, and active Unit Practice Council
A Magnet Recognized Facility, Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - McKinney is a 191-bed, fully accredited not-for-profit hospital providing a broad spectrum of healthcare services to families in McKinney and the surrounding communities. Part of Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas, the hospital offers personalized care and advanced technology in a facility with hotel-like amenities and all private rooms. Services include emergency care, heart and vascular services, orthopedics, oncology, primary care, women's services, and a Level III Neonatal ICU with private suites.
As part of the hospital's long-term plans, additional floors may be added to increase the bed count to 400 as community growth warrants.
