Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join the Nursing Team. You will provide preventative and supportive intra-operative care, assess admitted patients, and act as a patient-family advocate within the unit's standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients on admission and continuously as needs change.
  • Advocate for patients/families regarding plan of care.
  • Develop and modify care plans based on patient progress.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of disease processes and treatments.
  • Transcribe orders accurately and respond to STAT orders.
  • Coordinate transfer or discharge planning with care team and family.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Position Summary:

Seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse who participates as an active member of the Nursing Team. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.   • You will be serving as an advocate for patient/family/SO regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care
  • You will be developing, implementing, and modifying the patient’s plan of care according to the patient’s progress
  • You will be demonstrating knowledge of specific disease process (diabetes, respiratory, endocrine, neurological, and renal), treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity, patient’s needs, condition, impairment, or disability
  • You will be reviewing physician orders and accurately transcribes to MAR. Immediately initiates STAT orders
  • You will be assessing, collaborating, reporting, and coordinating the patient’s transfer or discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge or transfer to another level of care with the other members of the health care team and patient’s family/SO
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
  • Current licensure in California as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum one year of recent NICU experience
  • National RN Certification preferred
  • BCLS required
  • NRP required
  • STABLE certification (within one year of hire)
