Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Level III NICU travel assignment on 12-hour rotating shifts (nights and days as needed) with every other weekend off. The 13-week contract involves floating to newborn nurseries, mother/baby, and deliveries in a large teaching hospital.

Candidates must have at least 2 years NICU experience, BLS and NRP, EPIC EMR familiarity, and an active RN license. Prior travel or 500+ bed facility experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years NICU experience.
  • Experience in a large teaching facility or travel experience preferred.
  • Active AHA BLS and NRP certifications required; STABLE and RNC-NIC preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR within the last 2 years is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates and families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
  • Participate in procedures and care activities as required.
  • Maintain safety and best practices in the NICU and document accurately.

Registered Nurse - NICU (Level III) - 12H Rotating Shift
Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts (mainly nights, days as needed). Floating to various departments is required, with every other weekend scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Responsibilities include floating to any newborn NICU, mother/baby, nursery, and attending deliveries, as well as supporting pediatrics/PICU with neonate assignments. This role requires flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Delivery of comprehensive nursing care to neonates and their families.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participation in procedures and care activities as required.
  • Adherence to safety and best practices within the NICU environment.
  • Documentation and maintenance of accurate patient records.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • A minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required.
  • Experience in a large (500+ bed count) teaching facility preferred, or documented prior travel experience.
  • Active AHA BLS and NRP certifications required; STABLE and RNC-NIC preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) systems within the last 2 years is mandatory.
