Job summary

University of Vermont Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for the NICU travel assignment in Burlington, VT. The role runs for 17 weeks with 12-hour day/night rotations and backfill duties, including newborn care, mother/baby, and nursery responsibilities.

Expect floating to NICU-related units as needed and every other weekend. Requirements include AHA BLS and NRP; NICU level III experience is required, plus EPIC proficiency within the last 2 years.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.
• NICU level III experience is required.
• AHA BLS and NRP required; STABLE and RNC-NIC preferred.
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required.

Responsibilities

• Backfill for a 17-week assignment in NICU.
• Provide care in NICU (level III) including newborn, mother/baby, and nursery rotations.
• Float to appropriate units as needed; travel is involved and some weekends required.
• Follow schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating day/night; no on-call.
• Maintain complete and accurate work history (bed counts, EMR, facility type).

Title:Registered Nurse - NICU

Shift - 12H Rotating (Day/Night) 08:00 AM - 08:30 PM
Facility: University of Vermont Medical Center
Comments And Notes: Backfill. Assignment for 17 weeks. Rates are tiered based on mileage - measured by direct line not driving distance: Travel (101 miles ), Radius (51-100 miles), Local (50 miles or less)
M7/McClure 7 – NICU: 12H Rotating D/N (mainly nights, days as needed). Floating required, travelers float first – this includes any newborn NICU, mother/baby, newborn rounds, nursery, attending deliveries, pedi/PICU with neonate feeder/grower, or approximate neonate age assignment. Every other weekend required – travelers may be scheduled more than every other weekend if needed. No call. Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day.
Requirements:
AHA BLS and NRP required; STABLE and RNC-NIC preferred, please attach any others
NICU level III experience is required, please list NICU levels in work hx where applicable
Previous travel experience preferred, if candidate does not have travel then they must have large (500 bed count) NICU teaching facility experience
A minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
Teaching facility experience required
EPIC experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
