Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neurology Unit at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time position requires 36 hours per week with day shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm, and every other weekend. No travel is required.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree or BSN, active Illinois nursing licensure, and AHA CPR certification. The organization offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

• Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and health data collection.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure safe, timely interventions.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families, and care team in person and writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment.
• Participates in quality improvement to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintains current knowledge of nursing practice standards and regulations.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will do

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
