Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neurology Unit on nights. This full-time role covers 7:00pm to 7:30am with 36 hours per week, every other weekend.

You will assess patients, coordinate plans of care, and communicate with patients, families and the care team. IL licensure and an Associate's or BSN and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois (IL).
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and collection of health data with patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinate patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Individualize patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participate in evaluating nursing practice quality by engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What You Will Do

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What You Will Need

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
