Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Stepdown unit in Missouri. This full-time day shift (3x12) runs 7:00am–7:30pm with two generous bonuses for new graduates and experienced nurses. You will care for patients using the nursing process, coordinate with departments, and uphold patient rights and privacy.

Education required is a nursing credential (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN). Active RN licensure in Missouri or a compact state is needed, plus Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN) required.
• RN licensure in hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• Basic Life Support certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
