Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a skilled RN for Neuro ICU in a 10-bed critical care unit. You will provide focused neurological assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and care for patients including those requiring mechanical ventilation.

Epic EMR is used for documentation, with a 1:1 to 1:3 patient ratio and floating to other inpatient areas as needed. This 13-week contract requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have Neuro ICU experience.
• RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS certifications.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and float as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide neuro ICU nursing care for 1:1 to 1:3 patient ratios.
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and monitor hemodynamics.
• Care for mechanically ventilated patients and manage ICU equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; float to other units as needed.

Description:The unit is a 10-bed critical care environment.Patient ratios are 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3.Equipment utilized includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer.Electronic Medical Records are managed using Epic.Patients typically include those with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, post-operative craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurological tumors.Candidates should be team players with a positive attitude.Flexibility and empathy are essential qualities desired for this role.Dress code consists of navy scrubs.Unacceptable attire includes hoodies.There is a requirement for floating to other inpatient areas when the home unit has low census.
