Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for Neuro ICU assignment in a 16-bed unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. The role involves night shifts (7 PM–7 AM) on a 13-week contract, with float coverage to adjacent units as needed.

Must have an active RN license, 2+ years ICU experience, and BLS/ACLS credentials. ECG exams will be administered day 2; navy scrubs and required holiday coverage are noted in the facility policy.

  • Read patient strips and monitor ECGs.

  • Float to Medical-Surgical ICU and Progressive Care Unit as needed.
  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM; weekend coverage.
  • Possibility of holiday coverage as required.

Description:16-bed unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.Common diagnoses include stroke, acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, brain tumors, cerebral edema, increased intracranial pressure, hydrocephalus, acute respiratory failure, sepsis, septic shock, pneumonia, ARDS, COPD exacerbation, asthma exacerbation, acute heart failure, pulmonary edema, acute kidney injury, diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state, gastrointestinal bleeding, acute liver failure, and severe electrolyte abnormalities.RNs are required to read their own strips.Common titratable drips include norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine, and phenylephrine.Clinical techs are available on the unit.The unit is equipped with mechanical ventilators, high-flow nasal cannulas, and noninvasive ventilation equipment.RNs are expected to float as first to float to medical-surgical ICU and progressive care unit, and take care of boarders up to four.Holiday requirements include 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year.Scrubs should be navy blue.Weekend expectations are every other weekend.
