Job summary

Heritage Medical Associates in Nashville, TN seeks an experienced RN to join the patient care delivery team. The RN will perform clerical, administrative, and clinical duties within the TN Board of Nursing scope to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Tennessee RN license and graduate from an accredited RN program.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Knowledge of vital signs, charting, medical terminology, patient education and infection control is essential.

Responsibilities

• Gathers clinical data and maintains documentation in the medical record to ensure accurate treatment tracking.
• Notifies physician of patient status and lab results; assists with procedures and chart preparation.
• Triages patients via face-to-face, telephone, and portal messages and informs the provider of issues promptly.
• Administers medications and vaccines as ordered; follows dosage guidelines and clinical protocols.
• Performs CLIA-waived tests and handles specimens per lab protocols.
• Keeps exam rooms stocked and clean; assists with patient education and post-visit instructions.
• Answers phones, schedules appointments, and processes forms; maintains compliance with policies and procedures.
