Description:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing patient care across multiple departments.Candidates will float between various acute care inpatient settings, caring for a team of patients as the primary nurse.Patient length of stay typically averages 24 hours.The roles will include caring for cardiology, post-surgical, nephrology, neuroscience, orthopedic, pulmonary, and oncology patients.Responsibilities may involve accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and central line management.Candidates should have experience with telemetry, managing cardiac drips, and pre/post-surgical care.Additional skills such as IV management, phlebotomy, and monitoring patients' conditions are essential.Travel experience is required.Candidates should be prepared to handle a patient ratio of 1:7.It is important to note that major holiday requests for time off will not be accommodated.Preferred charting experience includes system familiarity but is not mandatory unless specified.The position may require some familiarity with interdisciplinary support teams and patient care collaboration.Travelers must adhere to applicable policies regarding certifications, residency verification, and submission compliance.
