Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment on the MS Tele unit in Houma, LA. The role requires night shifts (3x12 hours) and a minimum of 2 years RN experience with compact or state licensure. Certifications ACLS, BLS, CPI are required; PALS preferred. The traveler may be asked to join the Emergency Team as needed.

Description:Please ensure that the traveler is aware of the following:Upon accepting the assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an "Emergency Team."There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team.Specific details pertaining to pay will be communicated for each emergency event, as impacts may vary.By signing the travel contract, the candidate accepts these conditions and agrees to report as assigned by the unit manager in the event of an emergency.Candidates should consider whether they are comfortable with the above information before applying.

Certifications required include ACLS and BLS.CPI certification is required for all candidates, and PALS is preferred, although the pediatric patient population is low.The patient ratio is 1:5 on days and nights.The position requires every other weekend coverage.The unit is open to first-time travelers.The patient demographic includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics.Daily patient conditions include various surgeries, chronic health issues, and metabolic disorders.Interdisciplinary support includes multiple services such as physical therapy and pharmacy.The unit handles a diverse range of patient diagnoses and procedures.The candidate must have experience in managing specific skills such as IV administration, telemetry, and wound care.
