Description:This position is for a Med/Surg Orthopedic unit.The unit accepts first-time travelers.Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics.The unit has a daily census of approximately 30 patients.We maintain a patient ratio of 5:1.Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services.Required nursing skills include management of orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement care, and wound care.Knowledge of isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management is essential.Recent Epic experience (within the last 6 months) is a requirement.Assistance with acquiring NIHSS certification is available.Daily responsibilities will involve comprehensive patient care, including pre/post-surgery support and medication administration.Staff support includes patient care technicians and patient transporters.We are committed to providing high-quality care in a collaborative environment.All required certifications should be active and up to date.Candidates should be prepared to adapt to a dynamic healthcare setting.
