Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN in Medical-Surgical to work a 14-week night assignment in Augusta, GA. The role requires a GA or Compact RN license and BLS, with a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.

You will cover night shifts (12-hour), float within the unit as needed, and use Epic for charting along with Pyxis and SBAR for medication and communication. This assignment is for experienced travelers; first-time travelers are accepted and patient population spans adults to geriatrics.

Description:Minimum experience required is one year.First-time travelers are accepted.The patient population includes adults to geriatrics.Certifications required include BLS.General skills and work setting include a general medical-surgical unit.Patient ratio is 1:6.Unit systems in use are Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR.Scrub color is navy blue.Weekend shifts are required every other weekend unless specified otherwise.Floating is required within the facility and scope of practice as needed.If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays.If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year\'s Eve/New Year\'s Day.Full compliance is required to start on time.If not compliant, the pushback is two weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.Travelers must have a minimum of one year of experience and prefer candidates with previous charge experience.Charting system experience is required, specifically with Epic.Key skills include blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, heparin administration, isolation precautions, and wound care.Travelers must be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs, handling substance withdrawal, and managing surgical drains.Interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.Patient diagnoses primarily involve medical-surgical patients.
