UMass Memorial Health in Milford, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night Shift (3 - Night Shift, 12 Hours) working 36 hours per week, scheduled 1900-0700. The role is non-exempt with a union and a potential signing bonus; compensation ranges from $37.75 to $79.52 per hour, depending on hours scheduled and internal equity.

You will deliver nursing care across admission to discharge, perform assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate discharge planning in a full-service hospital

Formación

• Massachusetts nursing licensure and active registration.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS for select areas within 6 months.
• PALS for select areas within 6 months.
• NRP Advanced Provider for select areas within 6 months.
• BSN preferred.

• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.

Hiring Range:

$37.75 - $79.52

(based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week).

Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

License/Certification/Education:

Required

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.


• BLS through either American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is a requirement for every RN within 30 days of hire.


• ACLS through American Heart Association (AHA) required in select areas (Gannett, MP1, ICU, ED, Cath Lab, Endo, IR, PACU, Float Pool) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.


• PALS through American Heart Association (AHA) required in select areas (PACU, ED) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.


• NRP Advanced Provider through American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) required in select areas (Maternity) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Experience/Skills:

Required

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Per Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Registered Nurses employed at the SEF (Satellite Emergency Facility) must have the following qualifications:

License/Certification/Education

Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).


• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support or APLS (Advanced Pediatric Life Support). CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certified or required to obtain upon hire.

Experience/Skills

Required

• Have a minimum of three years' experience working in a full service hospital emergency department.


• Provide traditional clinical emergency services at a full-service hospital emergency department (Marlborough Campus) for at least 25% of their total working hours per year.
