Job summary

Medical City Lewisville is seeking an experienced RN for the Mother Baby Unit on nights. This full-time position involves direct patient care across adolescent to geriatric populations and may include supervision of licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.

The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to assess needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes, adhering to department policies and standards of practice.

Qualifications

• RN with active licensure and orientation to acute care.
• 1+ years RN experience in acute care.
• Mother Baby/Women's experience preferred.
• ADN is required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policy and procedures.
• Supervise LVNs and non-licensed staff as assigned.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across age groups.
• Perform charge duties, assign patients, and supervise unit activities.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision the Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical City Lewisville. In collaboration with patient, patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing the nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN provides direct care and/or supervises nursing care of LVN’s and non-licensed nursing staff. The RN is responsible for providing care consistent with the Nursing Department’s policies, procedures and standards of practice.

RN’s are responsible for providing care, which is appropriate to the age specific (adolescent, adult and geriatric patients), developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population. In addition to the RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties. The charge nurse makes patient assignments and supervises and directs the staff and unit activities for the assigned shift.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• STABLE must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• ADN Required
• BSN preferred
• 1+ years of RN experience required in acute care setting
• Mother Baby/Women's experience highly preferred
