Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby unit in Sylva, NC. This 13-week contract covers a 36-hour week on the Night Shift (19:00–07:00), with weekend hours every other week. Responsibilities include deliveries, couplet care, and neonatal recovery, with care for antepartum and postpartum issues.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of RN experience in a similar setting and holds an active RN licensure, NRP/ACLS/BLS certifications, and proficiency with Paragon EHR.

Qualifications

• Need experience with couplet care and newborn/neonatal patients.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be part of the Mother Baby unit, providing care for neonates and postpartum patients. You will participate in couplet care, attend deliveries, and assist in the recovery of newborns. This role requires experience with post-cesarean section patients and familiarity with antepartum and postpartum complications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for postpartum patients and newborns.


• Attend deliveries and perform essential newborn recovery practices.


• Monitor and manage antepartum and postpartum complications.


• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


• Utilize the EHR system (Paragon) for accurate documentation.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting with skills in couplet care.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license.


• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.


• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.


• BLS certification.
