Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced RN for the 8T Mother Baby Nursing Unit. This position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with a day shift 0700–1900 and weekend rotation.

The unit cares for postpartum mothers and newborns, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4. Requires at least 6 months RN experience, active-state RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
• At least 6 months of RN inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled RN, provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Use evidence-based practice and clinical decision making to ensure a safe patient environment.
