Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a part-time RN for the 8T Mother Baby Nursing Unit in Charlotte, NC. The unit supports postpartum mothers and newborns, with a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio and two 12-hour night shifts per week (7p–7a), plus weekend/holiday coverage.

The role focuses on providing coordinated nursing care, following standards and policies, and ensuring a safe, positive patient experience for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN with at least 6 months of inpatient RN experience; not for new grads.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
• At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
