Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a Post-Partum RN to provide direct patient care to post-partum patients in a family-centered approach. You will provide multidisciplinary obstetrical care to low and high risk postpartum patients and normal newborns, monitor progress, and prepare patients for discharge.

You will work with a team that treats colleagues like family, collaborates closely, and supports patients throughout their stay.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start date.
• 1 year of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred.
• BSN is preferred.
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.
